The desktop application for Beatific Vision. Native macOS and Windows. Where the catalog is held, the films are watched, and the platform is encountered as software.
Named for Dante's highest heaven — the place where the beatific vision occurs.

Empyrean is a native desktop application — written for the long evening, the considered viewing, the reverent encounter. Not a phone, not a tab, not a tile in a content algorithm. The application is the room.
The catalog interface · macOS, light system theme
Application launch · the splash screen
The film player · branded chrome, distraction-free
Hardware-accelerated video playback for high-fidelity viewing. The cinematic image, on cinema-class glass.
The full Beatific Vision catalog — original works, partner-organization films, and curated selections — assembled in one consecrated space.
Resumes where you left off. The film waits for the time you can give it the attention it asks of you.
Build a personal library of saved films. The catalog as your own — kept, returned to, dwelt in.
Direct access to the wider Beatific Vision house — the apostolate, the journal, the podcast — without leaving the application.
One Beatific Vision experience across macOS and Windows. The same catalog, the same chrome, the same reverent design.
Empyrean is open-source-aligned, privacy-respecting, and built by the company that owns it. No telemetry, no third-party tracking, no advertising — ever. Empyrean exists to serve your encounter with Beatific Vision content; that is its only function.
